Over the last three years, Scentre Group has delivered a range of initiatives to form our Connected Customer Experience, including most recently the launch of the Westfield Plus membership program. In 2021, we are introducing the next, critical element by launching an online marketplace – Westfield Direct; combining the best of physical and digital retail.
Rather than a standalone online retail marketplace, Westfield Direct is designed to maximise the productivity from our existing shopping centres. Customers will be able to shop the best of their local centre, or the best of any Westfield centre, online or in person, with a range of fulfilment choices.
Your opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the marketplace team in its launch year, delivering the go-to-market and first-year acquisition plan to achieve the year one targets. The Digital Marketing Manager will play a key role in a cross-functional, high performing team, in what will be a fast-paced first year.
You’ll manage the growth and optimisation for marketplace, from briefing, channel plan management and a data driven approach to driving platform, product and communication optimisation. This will include:
managing the execution of our digital marketing strategy across key paid media channels, supported by the wider growth team
managing our agency partner relationships with the objective of delivering on our revenue and customer satisfaction objectives
taking a data driven approach to seeking out opportunities for growth in our digital marketing practices in line with also delivering an excellent customer experience
define the key metrics and insights required to gain access to these insights and build out richer customer focused data profiles
creating briefs and providing data-based feedback on digital ad creative and relevant content to help optimise paid media channels performance, including but not limited to paid social, paid search, video, programmatic & SEO.
The role requires a solid understanding of the digital marketing landscape with experience executing growth strategies from previous marketplace or ecommerce roles. You will be a great communicator and collaborator with high attention to detail and a drive for delivering results – you’re not afraid of rolling up your sleeves to chip in wherever needed.
A snapshot of your role:
Manage the go-to-market and on-going digital marketing strategy for our Westfield Direct (Marketplace) product, covering brand & performance activity
Manage agency & platform relationships and execute day to day tasks to facilitate these projects
Oversee execution of critical performance channels including Paid Search & Social
Support Senior Growth Manager with internal communication and alignment on digital marketing activities
Developing test & learn frameworks with the objective of improving efficiencies and finding growth opportunities across digital media channels and on-site through CRO activity
Facilitate on-going SEO work between our partner agency and relevant internal teams across content & tech to ensure growth objectives are aligned and delivered on
What will set you apart from the rest?
5+ years experience in a Digital Marketing role
Extensive experience in managing digital marketing strategy & execution
Proficiency in either Paid Social Marketing or Google Search / Performance marketing.
Past experience in brand marketing
Experience in e-commerce / retail marketing ideal
Prior application of data and/or research to inform campaign success with fluency in Google Analytics and / or additional data platforms
Experience in using digital personalisation strategies across marketing channels and on-site
Ability to quickly adapt to a breadth of contexts and associated priorities
Strong interpersonal skills and relationships, including proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders
Self-starter; ability to plan and prioritise
Experience in team management
Desire to learn and a can-do attitude
High attention to detail and excellence in execution
