Your opportunity
This role is responsible for leading and embedding the Data Governance capability at Scentre Group, growing enterprise awareness, championing engagement, ensuring Scentre Group’s data is safe and secure, and data usage can be maximised to deliver an optimised customer experience.
Bring to life the organisation’s Data Strategy and Data Governance Framework and lead ongoing review and development of policies and procedures in line with new initiatives and use cases
Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise.
Drive the decision-making processes and systems required to maintain exemplary governance of enterprise wide data to help enablement and enhancement of data usage. In addition, the Data Governance manager will own and conduct of key forums.
Lead the roll out and embedment of the Collibra data governance platform, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organizational behaviour.
What will set you apart from the rest?
Experience in developing and operationalizing data-based guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards
Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships that result in adoption of organizational change
Demonstrated consulting experience or a background in leading large scale data management program rollouts
Experience in advanced data analytics (including understanding code which uses customer data)
Knowledge of one or more Data Governance or Data Quality tools with the ideal candidate having hands on experience in Collibra
A working knowledge of data platforms such a Google Cloud Platform, and of metadata management systems (considered essential, since an important part of this role is to ensure that the meta-data management system is utilised properly)
A clear understanding of Privacy Principles and their practical application (considered essential in order to quickly determine whether a proposed use of customer data is permissible)
Ability to work across multiple parts of an organisation to find and articulate profitable use-cases for data
