Lead Fund Controller

What it’s about

Partners Group’s Product Controlling team is seeking to hire a Lead Fund Controller to grow it’s footprint in Denver. The role will encompass three primary responsibilities: Reviewing and signing off the net asset values and financial statements of our global private equity funds, leading department projects and developing the Denver controlling team.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review Net Asset Values and Financial Statements prepared by fund controllers and external partners
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of SEC and other regulatory deliverables
  • Design and execute department-wide projects to continually adapt to industry leading business requirements
  • Become the key business unit stakeholder in Denver covering all areas of the business
  • Proactively integrate and promote collaboration across teams
  • Lead challenging and constructive dialogue with team members and all internal and external stakeholders to achieve effective outcomes
  • Manage and develop the Denver fund controlling team in order to achieve operational excellence

 

What we expect
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferably with a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACCA)
  • 7 or more years of experience in accounting, controlling or financial audit functions; experience in private markets fund accounting is a plus
  • Detail oriented, organized and self-motivated
  • Responsible, accountable and adaptable
  • Ability to integrate within a fast-paced, dynamic and diverse global team
  • Passionate about creating a lasting positive impact with a leading private markets firm

  • Partners Group compensation has a long-term outlook and philosophy, and our total compensation emphasizes performance based long term incentives. Base pay range for this role is $90k – 105k and typically a significant performance-based bonus, equity may be a part of the total compensation package as well
