What it’s about
We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our rapidly growing U.S. Liquid Loans investment team in New York, where we invest and manage leveraged liquid loans for multiple cash-flow CLOs, open-end and closed-end fund mandates.
This individual is expected to:
- Support senior credit analysts across various industry sectors with active quantitative and qualitative credit analysis of syndicated (non-investment grade) leveraged loans
- Perform fundamental credit analysis, financial modeling and risk due diligence of identified investment opportunities in the primary and secondary US syndicated loan market
- Interact with corporate issuers, loan arrangers and other market stake-holders to develop and enhance the individual’s familiarity with assigned issuers and sectors
- Prepare credit investment applications and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee and loan portfolio managers
- Proactively monitor existing investments “real time”, providing timely updates on company performance and related matters
- Develop in-depth knowledge of assigned sectors and follow relevant industry developments
- Participate in daily/weekly team meetings to discuss current business activity, financial performance, and events related to credits covered
- Provide regular input on structural, secular and cyclical themes affecting credits and industries covered
- Review credit agreements and other legal documentation related to issuers
- Back-up other analysts on the team and assist portfolio managers with ad-hoc projects and assignments, as needed
- 3 – 7 years of relevant work experience in financial markets, corporate banking, investment research, or investment management, with primary focus on leveraged loans or high yield debt
- Experience with a CLO Manager or Loan Fund Management platform (preferred)
- Strong financial modelling (MS Excel), analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Top academic credentials with emphasis on Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred
