Asset Management Analyst IV

Verisign enables the security, stability, and resiliency of key internet infrastructure and services, including providing root zone maintainer services, operating two of the 13 global internet root servers, and providing registration services and authoritative resolution for the .com and .net top-level domains, which support the majority of global e-commerce.

The Asset Management Analyst IV provides logistical support by tracking inventory, shipping, receiving and reconciling of computer assets both domestically and internationally, from receipt to final disposition.  This position also conducts audits, prepares and runs reports, creates shipping documentation to include commercial invoices, manifests and when needed, Bills of Sale for International shipments. The Asset Management Analyst IV manages asset compliance throughout the asset lifecycle in local and remote warehouses as well as spearheading tool and process improvements

  • Oversees the receipt of incoming orders, which includes the verification of accuracy, quantities and distribution, coordination of returns and exchanges; and maintenance contact with vendors.
  • Oversees the storage of inventory and takes action as needed on unused, slow moving and excess stock.
  • Arranges and performs the disposal and destruction of end of life hardware both domestically and internationally.
  • Orders, receives, and maintains inventory of materials, computer hardware, tools and supplies used in the Verisign Data Center.  Follows proper purchasing procedures.
  • Maintains inventory records and prepares monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports, as necessary.
  • Manages shipping of computer equipment domestically and internationally adhering to all import/export compliance and tax regulations while ensuring necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Works with Colocation providers at destination locations to ensure necessary tickets are opened and delivery is successful.
  • Manages asset compliance ensuring documented policies and standards are met.
  • Responsible for reviewing and updating current documented procedures and keeps track of the latest rules and regulations governing asset management and facility storage.
  • Works with operations and development teams to implement process and tool improvements.
  • Completes Physical and OS Server Builds for release to production environments.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

  • 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience Business or related field, required
  • 5 years of related experience in Asset Management/Inventory Management support, required

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Inventory management and practices
  • Principles and procedures of record keeping

Special requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Willing to be forklift certified
