Sales Desk Mgr – Life Insurance and LTC

How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:

The position’s key responsibility is to drive sales. Additional responsibilities include managing, motivating, and developing an internal life sales team. This individual will lead a team of Internal Wholesalers focused on supporting and driving sales of Brighthouse Financial Life Insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Life Sales
  • Provide overall strategic direction to internal sales team to meet defined distribution goals.
  • Hiring, training, building a team of internal wholesalers
  • Coach and develop associates in key areas of life product knowledge, sales skills, operational procedures, industry knowledge, and other advanced topics.
  • Coordinate with Divisional Sales Manager and External Wholesalers to ensure team is working in unison to accomplish tactical initiatives to meet sales goals.
  • Builds strong relationships with External Wholesalers and advisors within assigned region.
  • Collaborate with key business partners from marketing, Strategic Relationship Management, and product to develop strategies and initiatives that will further develop sales.
  • Culture driver: will be responsible for ensuring Brighthouse Culture is embedded
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Strong record of supporting sales growth within the financial services industry.
  • 3-5 years of management or internal sales experience, within the Life Insurance industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring team members in a performance driven environment.
  • Must hold a valid FINRA SIE, Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 license.
  • Must hold or obtain FINRA Series 24 or 26
  • Must hold or obtain a state Life Insurance license with variable line of authority Life in their resident state.
  • Must obtain CLTC designation
  • Advanced financial designation preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Key Relationships:

Direct Reports/Team: 10+ Internal Wholesalers

Other Key Stakeholders: Will be closely aligned to a divisional sales manager and external wholesalers, as the internal team works collaboratively to support and successfully achieve Brighthouse Financial’s life distribution goals. Other key stakeholders, Life Client Consultant team, Life Underwriting team and Marketing team.
