Programme Manager

Who we’re looking for
Schroders Capital is the private asset division of Schroders, providing investors with access to a broad range of private asset investment opportunities, portfolio building blocks and customised private asset strategies. To support continuing growth of Schroders Capital, we are looking for a Programme Manager, capable of leading diverse and time bound projects.

The programmes led by the successful individual will enable more flexible and efficient services, ensuring compliance to regulations, improved customer experience, better use of technology, better UX, realising target operating models and delivering leaner processes.

We require someone with an excellent track record of delivering large programmes across Technology and Business disciplines.

The Programme Manger will be accountable to the Head of Private Assets Change, but will also work significantly with business sponsors and the Technology Senior Management Team.

The team
You will be part of the newly established change practice at Schroders Capital. The change practice designs and delivers solutions to Schroders Capital and its business areas (Real Estate, Private Equity, Infrastructure, Insurance-Linked Securities).

What you’ll do
•    Manage the delivery of complex programmes and projects
•    Work with the senior stakeholders to ensure clear, consistent reporting and to ensure that the deliverables of projects remain clearly focused on business outcomes
•    Work with business stakeholders
•    Support the management of a project management team with matrix management requirements of the departments from which they will be provided
•    Hire appropriate additional staff to meet the objectives of the programmes as per an agreed recruitement plan
•    Manage communication of progress and changes to the wider organisation
•    Ensure financial diligence & reporting of the programme is adhered to working to secure delivery within budget.
•    Excellent risk management
•    Manage dependencies to/from adjacent programmes of work
•    Practice, develop and promote the use of standards for change.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
•    Experience and knowledge of Private Assets Management
•    Understanding of delivery in an Agile manner, and understanding of the Lean approach
•    Sucessful delivery record of driving organisational and business change programmes with large budgets
•    Clear leadership skills demonstrated through experience of transformational change
•    Experience of managing large teams
•    Ability to manage and motivate diverse sets of teams across multiple functions. Can develop a talent pool
•    Evidence of multiple senior stakeholder management
•    Collaborative skills and when appropriate influence across a broad, senior stakeholder base
•    Ability to deliver difficult messages where necessary and the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders
•    Evidence of resolving difficult issues and contributing to end state solution
•    Increadibly methodical and detail orientated
•    Able to make trade-offs to ensure priority value items are delivered
•    Can drive to make decisions

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
•    Experience of SAFe working practices is desirable
•    Basic professional qualifications relating to the asset management industry (IMC, FAI)
