Your mission:

The Quality Engineer will support our Manufacturing Facility in Jackson, MO and is responsible for quality of the products and processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of statistical process control and its effect on manufacturing processes.  This position interacts with multiple levels management, employees, customers and suppliers, among others, to ensure accuracy and timely process completion.

  • Customer Audit planning, preparation, performance, reporting and follow-up of non-conformities
  • Familiar with QA lab testing, SPC principles, and Quality Function deployment
  • Ability to make decisions regarding product Quality, consistent with Quality principles
  • ISO representative and document controller for QA Department
  • Development and regular Review of Quality improvement Plan
  • Organize, prepare and perform quality trainings
  • Perform assessments for risks and opportunities on all levels of urgency

Your profile:

  • Minimum two year degree with years of experience noted below with preference given for four-year Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering course of study; minimum five years on-the-job experience in Quality Assurance discipline
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • High attention level to details
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong math skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to travel when necessary to, but not limited to, customer sites, supplier sites, trade shows, other Mondi sites, etc.
  • Ability to effectively work both independently and in team environments
  • Possess a high degree of computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite; computer interfacing with lab equipment, database applications, and paperless systems; SAP experience desired
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and self-assured; able to work independently & to a deadline
