Enterprise Master Data Management

Job Duties

  • Manages the Master Data department, primarily vendor and material master functions.
  • Maintains positive and productive working relationship within department and with other departments.
  • Works across Master Data, Business Process, IT, Procurement and Accounting to improve accuracy and efficiency of content and the related work processes, namely those pertinent to company ERP systems.
  • Provides recommendations and implements process improvements and best practices within the Master Data Department.
  • Determines work procedures, sets priorities, and prepares work schedules.
  • Ensures contract and pricing documentation is compliant with Audit and SOX requirements.
  • Serves as department lead on system development initiatives (e.g. Deal Point, Deal Capture roll out, and Plan to Order).
  • Maintains all SAP data management areas (master data, reference tables, processing tables, etc.) and facilitates timely resolution of any related issues, escalating to department manager as needed.
  • Leads enterprise-wide corporate data management initiative including SAP master data, data conversion and reference table efforts.
  • Ensures consistency and quality of data within ERP, and SAP in particular, application footprints, and data integration between SAP and Holly’s legacy applications.

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of ten (10) years’ ERP system experience (SAP in particular). Experience in accounting/finance/procurement. One (1) year of supervisory or lead experience.

 

Preferred Experience:
Oil and Gas Industry experience.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, accounting, or marketing discipline.

Required Skills

Ability to lead and direct the work of other associates. Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications.  Experience working with an accounting system. Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting practices, principles, and procedures. Intermediate reading and writing skills required. Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations is required. Knowledge of ERP systems and able to apply this knowledge. Advanced skills in leadership, planning, teamwork, decision making, judgment and problem solving. Working knowledge of Microsoft products, and ability to multi-task, is required. Strong organizational skills; advanced leadership, effective delegation, negotiation and forward thinking skills; ability to communicate effectively with others, both written and verbal communication, and across multiple department lines.

 

Preferred Skills

MRP, DRP, & ERP (Manufacturing, Distribution & Enterprise Resource Planning).

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Responsible for the direct supervision of staff and managerial employees.

Work Conditions

Office based with travel up to 20% by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, and rotating equipment. Subject to varying road and weather conditions.
