Payments Data Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities and Scope of role:

  • Produce all dashboards and MI in a timely manner; to include KPI / KRI, action trackers, risk events MI, key people MI, reconciliation updates
  • Evaluate the accuracy of the data and suggest process improvements / reviews, where required.
  • Support the development of the Adviser Operations Dashboards by identifying where current metrics can be developed further and / or new metrics introduced.
  • Collaborate with management team to drive improvements in internal software via requirement gathering, documentation and liaison with IT/service provider
  • Analyse the performance of the team using the dashboard and other data sources, identifying existing or emerging risks, performance trends and opportunities.
  • Owns all data and MI to ensure it is accurate, relevant, up to date and documented.
  • Leads capacity planning across Adviser Operations to build flexibility into the resource model.
  • Collate and analyse data from multiple sources, identifying trends and present recommendations to improve processes and adviser outcomes
  • Delivers creative solutions to business problems to meet organisational needs
  • Acts as a data workstream owner for projects and supports business readiness activities.
  • Supports the business with data related queries, supporting incidents, audits or critical business decisions.
  • Applies in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address non standard complex problems and situations relating to QFP data
  • Can identify opportunity and create reports/control using Power BI. Providing effective management Information.

About You

Qualifications required:

  • Essential Educated to degree level or relevant experience
  • Desirable Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner OR Agile
  • Desirable BCS Diploma in Business Analysis
  • Desirable BCS System Testing

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Working knowledge of financial products, industry practice and FSA legislation.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications with particular strength in excel.
  • Knowledge of Power BI
  • Strong understanding of project and software delivery cycles.
  • Great knowledge of the LEAN principles and methodology.
  • Excellent analytical & numeracy skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL
