Communication Manager (9-12 Month FTC)

As the Communications Manager you’ll proactively identify opportunities to improve the experience for our colleagues, and in response to this, mobilise and deliver effective communication campaigns that improve the engagement and productivity of our people.

Setting and communicating the direction for the right culture and working environment across the organisation.  Working with the HR and business leadership teams, providing specialist support to engage our colleagues, growing awareness and understanding of critical messages across the business, including cultural direction. Supporting Group wide communication initiatives, including the design and delivery of the CEO and CLT communication plans.

What will you be up to?

  • Support the Leadership, Culture and Communications Director to build and deliver Group wide communication campaigns, including the design and delivery of CEO and CLT communication plan.
  • Work closely with the local Engagement and Communication Managers to ensure localised communications are sequenced alongside Group wide campaigns, and that the messages create one narrative for our colleagues
  • Lead and be part of a virtual team to define engagement and communication requirements, and deliver the required campaigns across the organisation, increasing employee engagement and individual performance
  • Lead the delivery of communication and engagement campaigns, ensuring they deliver improvements to the overall experience of our colleagues
  • Work closely with the Colleague Experience Effectiveness Manager to ensure the sequencing and delivery of our engagement and communication campaigns create a seamless experience for our colleagues
  • Work closely with our Channel Manager to ensure the appropriate channels are used to best engage our colleagues
  • Use data and insight to understand the impact of our communication and engagement campaigns, and continually improve the quality of our communications.

Required expereince and competencies;

  • Experience in a senior HR role partnering with Executive Leadership teams, ideally with a specialism in Internal Communications
  • Experience in delivering and communicating cultural change and leading group wide initiatives that have improved the maturity of the organisation
  • Extensive experience of writing communications and identifying, building and delivering large scale communication campaigns
  • A track record of supporting business leaders to identify, develop and deploy engagement and communication campaigns
  • Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders
  • Experience in matrix working
  •  Examples of successful project deliver

Technical:

  • Colleague Experience Communications Strategy; Manage the creation or review of a strategy which enables delivery of the business’s target state colleague experience. Articulate the desired colleague experience and plan by which to achieve it.
  • Change Management; responsible for effectively Communicating and  identifying, managing, initiating and influencing change, and managing and support others through it. Influences cultural and behavioural changes across the organisation.
