Equipment Engineering Technician

Newbury Park, CA

                                               

 

 

Primary Responsibility:

Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to schematics, blueprints, drawings, and operating or repair manuals. Performs preventive and routine maintenance and repairs on semiconductor manufacturing equipment following work instructions and manufacturer manuals.  Follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to all production equipment in a specific area. Perform electrical/mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical production equipment used in the Fab.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Performs set-up, calibration and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Rebuild and repair manufacturing equipment as required.
  • Perform equipment modifications as directed by Equipment Engineering.
  • Work on complex assignments requiring judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations to the Engineering community
  • Participate as a contributing member of the Emergency Response Team.

 

Educational and Job Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Electronics Technology (or similar discipline).
  • Must be able to work the overnight and compressed shift (5:30 PM to 5:35 AM)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a production and/or faced pace environment.
  • Experience with common hand tools as well as various electronic instruments.
  • Job duties may require heavy lifting (install/removal of pumps).
  • Must pass respiratory protection medical surveillance examination In depth knowledge, understanding, and support of manufacturing process.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working in a semiconductor or wafer fab environment is preferred.
