POSITION SUMMARY

Failure Analysis Technician

Second Shift: M-F 4:30-1:00 AM

Location: Newbury Park, CA

Base Pay + 8% Shift Premium

We are looking for Engineering Technicians who enjoys problem solving with practical and hands on approach. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with experience in failure/root-cause analysis on IC circuits.The primary responsibility of the Failure Analysis Technician is to support Semiconductor failure analysis engineering activities, which include the following:

  • D Visual Inspection
  • X-ray
  • C-SAM
  • IV curve trace
  • Soldering/de-soldering of electronic assemblies
  • De-capsulation (mechanical, manual, and laser)
  • Mechanical cross section and parallel lapping/polishing
  • Additional duties as assigned
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, organization, and patience while often working with small ICs and detail-oriented tasks
  • Must possess excellent skills in problem solving, team work, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Capable of taking direction from multiple individuals and accomplishing tasks successfully
  • Must be proficient in MS Office applications
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Associates in Engineering or Science discipline (Physics preferred)
  • Understanding of semiconductor process highly desired.
  • Previous experience working in a semiconductor failure analysis lab preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in electrical component testing
