Skyworks’ is looking for Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Woburn, MA Or Newbury Park, CA! In this highly visible and hands-on role, you will utilize your Supplier Quality skills in developing, implementing & sustaining quality tools and systems. We have an opportunity for an accomplished quality engineer to lead development, and ramp for a next generation RF product. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibilities include but not limited to,
• Working with suppliers to developing their quality management system with the end goal of certification to IATF 16949 standard.
• Performing, managing and track follow-up with suppliers for VDA6.3 and IATF 16949 audits to ensure that supplier’s quality management system meets these standards
• Ensuring that external laboratories used for test and inspection conform to IATF 16949 requirements and are certified to ISO 17025 standard
• Coordinating and driving Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) with suppliers
• Working with suppliers in flowing down customer specific requirements.
• Actively participating and leading supplier development projects
• Assessing suppliers’ risk to product conformity and driving risk reduction and improvement of suppliers’ performance
• Resolving supplier quality issues utilizing appropriate problem solving methodologies
• Maintaining supplier performance metrics to ensure conformity to requirements
• Managing additional supplier qualification and development activities
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier quality experience and wafer semiconductor manufacturing experience is required
• BS or MS degree with 3 years of experience
• Working knowledge of ISO9001, IATF16949 and ISO 17025 standard
• Preference for semiconductor fabrication or similar engineering/manufacturing environment
• Understanding of DMAIC methodology, green or black belt preferred
• Working knowledge of SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP and 8D problem solving methodology
• Strong problem solving and leadership skills, results oriented and goal driven
• Ability to travel internationally and/or domestically at least 25%
