Role Summary
The Senior Solution Architect is primarily responsible for liaising with clients to capture and translate customer business requirements into a working business system solution utilizing DXC Xuber software products.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Engage with Customer SME’s in workshops or other methods of interaction to elicit business requirements and solution objectives.
- Lead contact on client engagements from a functional / technical delivery perspective
- Translate detailed business requirements into working software solutions using DXC Xuber software products and configuration tools.
- Ability to lead and support the project team and customer SME’s on limitations and opportunities for perfect fit customer solutions based on knowledge of DXC Xuber software Products
- Adhere to and contribute to the enhancement of best practice design and configuration of DXC Xuber software products
- Create and update complex solution configuration on the DXC Xuber Software products including configuration of the following:
- Rating algorithms and referral processing
- Underwriting, Claims and business rules
- Business Process workflow rules
- Stored procedures, database triggers, indexes, and other database artefacts
- Reference data creation and maintenance
- Product building including the implementation of dynamic logic, validations & workflow rules
- Enquiries / Data Extraction / Reports / Documents
- Work collaboratively with the client and DXC project teams to drive delivery of the agreed solution
- Mentor and guide DXC team members throughout the client solution delivery process
- Software / Solution testing / validation / issue resolution
- Confidently demonstrate DXC Xuber product solutions in new client engagements
- Lead and participate in internal quality reviews of solution delivery processes
- Lead and driver client solution delivery quality activities
- Prepare technical system documentation as required by the client
- Provide inputs to project work estimates
- Lead / Support the process of transitioning completed projects into support
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Insurance and/or insurance software experience, preferably covering underwriting, claims, accounts, and re-insurance
- Strong client / stakeholder management skills
- Strong team leading / mentoring skills
- Experienced in the configuration of web-based Policy Administration / Claims Systems
- Strong SQL skills, in particular procedural SQL including ability to construct SQL queries, views, triggers and stored procedures
- A detailed understanding of the full project life cycle
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of solution analysis techniques (Agile / Scrum / Waterfall / Rapid)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail with strong documentation skills
- Prepared to travel when required
- Ability to work flexible hours as required – connecting and collaborating with colleagues in different time zones.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience / knowledge of configuring DXC Xuber Software products
- Polished presentation/demonstration skills
- Experience of projects delivering Cloud based managed service solutions
- Experience of applications that use external API’s in the solution
- Knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON
- Knowledge of Lloyds and Company market Insurance gained through direct solution delivery experience
- Experience of MS SQL Server database systems including Indexing, SSIS / SSRS
- Experience in working to strict deadlines, both individually and as part of a team.
- A detailed understanding of the full project life cycle
- Have demonstrated a working knowledge of the following concepts/skills:
- Process Mapping (current and future state)
- Data flow diagrams (current and future state)
- Entity relationship mapping
