We are looking for a full-time Windows Systems Administrator to join our AeroData team in Scottsdale, Arizona. AeroData is a leading provider of aircraft performance software and services tailored to commercial and bsiness aviation. AeroData’s portfolio includes products such as runway analysis, takeoff and landing perforamnce, weight and balance guidance, automated passenger and cargo load planning, global airport obstacle information, around-the-clock NOTAM monitoring and other customized software solutions. As a Windows Systems Administrator, you’ll play an important role in designing and developing complex, integrated solutions to meet business requirements or enhancing performance of the AeroData team’s windows server computing systems. This role will focus on server-side and application work. Essential functions include:
- Performs and evaluates costs analyses and vendor comparisons form small through large scale projects to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations
- Measures feasibility of various approaches and makes recommendations
- Continuously develop technical subject matter expertise on established and emerging server, storage, email, file and collaboration systems and other server based technologies.
- Communicate effectively regarding system operations and environment changes
- Adhere to SOX, PCI, and other regulatory requirements as dictated
- Understands and avoids capacity, redundancy, and health constraints of server, storage, email, file, and collaboration systems
- Ensures that all security requirements are met or exceeded
Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or another relevant field AND a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of experience and education. Other requirements include:
- Outstanding academics with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge
- Ability to author and implement advanced scripting to automate technical needs such as to move files, backup, create configuration, or other daily tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to implement new technologies effectively
- Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Consistently demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work documentation and organization
Experience with CI/CD, SCCM and experience with monitoring systems is highly preferred!
