General Labor – Production &Tooling (Dayshift – starting $17.92 per hour)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Passionate about maintaining a safe work environment
- Good attendance record
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Capability to promote to Assistant Machine Operator within adequate training process
- Ability to adhere to Product Quality Specifications and Quality Standards
- Ability to read tape measure with speed and accuracy
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, around machinery and forklift traffic
- Thrive in a cross-functional team environment in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Work closely with other production personnel on a day-to-day basis
- Must be focus-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
- Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and on weekends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously
- Able to work independently as well as a team player to follow and execute instructions as needed
- Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity, decreasing downtime and waste
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior work experience in the corrugated Industry or manufacturing environment
- Prior machine operator experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Personal protective equipment – such as eye protection, hearing protection, foot protection, cut resistant gloves, or other special protective equipment – is necessary to reduce hazard exposure
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear for up to 12 hours on a daily basis
- Required to use hands and arms to reach, stack and turn with repetitive motion
- Also required to stoop, kneel, and or crouch
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work; position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor
- Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures
- Maintain Production Tooling and equipment per 5S standards
- Must properly use computer system to prepare tooling for machines by a production schedule
- Verify printing and cutting dies versus the correct print/layout
- Assume active role in Quality Control Procedures
- Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity, decreasing downtime and waste
- Promote to Assistant Machine Operator position within adequate training process
