Your challenges as Optic Engineer…

 

Design and develop optical systems for forward lighting and signal lighting utilizing standard light sources, such as filament bulb and HID, and new light source technologies, such as LEDs, combined with lightguide, lens, or reflector optical solutions

Develop optical systems to meet customer specifications and federal regulations

Optical design development for lighting products in accordance with the various phases of a program schedule, i.e. feasibility, design, design verification, certification, production launch

Improve and develop optical design methodologies for the enhancement of design productivity and capability

Participate and/or manage directly the development of new optical technology in line with the Technology Development Plan.

Let’s talk about you….

 

You have Bachelor’s Degree required – Optical Engineering field of study preferred

You have 2 to 5 years’ experience (preferred) in design and development in automotive or related optical engineering fields

You have experience with non-imaging optics and photometric measurement systems

You have experience with 3D CAD systems, CATIA-V5 preferred

You have experience with optical design and simulation software, ASAP preferred

You have experience with design of automotive exterior lighting is preferred

You have an understanding of exterior automotive regulations, such FMVSS108 and ECE, is highly desired

You have strong problem solving, communication, project management, and team player skills are highly desired

You must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company provided work visa sponsorship (i.e. TN, H1, etc.)
