Job Description
The RFIC Design Engineering Internship will work closely with a group of analog/RF IC design experts in the development of cellular-band RFICs that have stand-alone or integrated LNA cores, RF switches, attenuators, bias controller, and various RF and analog functional blocks developing SOI RFICs for mobile handset applications.
Work activities will include: circuit simulation, lab testing of circuits, presentation of design expectations/results, and participation in design reviews. #LI-DNP
Job Requirements
Currently enrolled in a MS (preferred) or PhD program studying Electrical Engineering
Must be returning to school following the internship
Able to commit to the Fall 2021 Intern Program which goes from September – November
Academic experience in transistor-level CMOS or SOI RFIC design
Familiar with ADS, Cadence, SPICE, Momentum/HFSS, or similar simulation tools to assist in design evaluation and debugging
Completed coursework in RF, Microwave/Antenna, or Wireless Technologies (i.e. Smith Chart and S Parameters)
Exposure to RF tools such as Function Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.
Excellent communication (both written and verbal), organization, and documentation skills
Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Ideally, experience working on a small team and presenting knowledge to peers
