Regional Project Manager – Factory IT

The Regional Project Manager – Factory IT is responsible for maintaining and supporting the factory control system IT infrastructure for a group (or region) of factories. The Factory Control System IT infrastructure includes all aspects of Factory IT systems including server/PC infrastructure, Ethernet networks, IT application software, and Factory ICS Cyber Security. The Regional Project Manager – Factory IT reports to the centrally based Project Manager -Factory IT.

What would your key responsibilities be?

  • Provide troubleshooting and maintenance of all Factory IT infrastructure in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Manage and support Factory IT infrastructure including networks, routers, switches, servers/PC’s (both physical and virtual environments), and software applications.
  • Manage site anti-virus and malware protection solutions for all Factory IT assets, ensuring protection is up to date with latest profiles and definitions.
  • Manage site Factory IT assets patch management for servers, PC’s, network equipment as well as factory controls software applications, including testing, validation, and roll-out of OEM patches and firmware updates. Ensure site systems are protected with up to date and latest security patches.
  • Manage site Factory IT backup management/disaster recovery solutions by ensuring systems are properly backed up (both onsite and offsite solutions) and testing/verification disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage site controls Active Directory configuration (users, group security, and security policies).
  • Maintain an accurate/up to date inventory of installed Factory IT assets, tracking of software licenses, and network diagrams.
  • Monitor Factory IT system performance and perform continuous improvements to optimize system performance.
  • Must be willing to travel (20-40%) and support multiple sites.

What are we looking for?

  • University Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or IT/ High Professional Studies.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • 10 years of experience managing IT systems including server/PC administration, networks, virtual infrastructure, patch management, anti-virus/malware management, and back-up and recovery systems.
  • Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications including: Cisco Switches, VMWare, ThinManager and MSSQL – preferred skills.
  • Hands-on experience with common factory IT hardware and software.
  • Proven experience with cyber security principles and practices.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication ability, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Must be a team player who welcomes collaboration and knowledge sharing.
