We are looking for an SRE to join our International team working from the USA EFX’s office.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a discipline that combines software and systems engineering for building and running large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that internal and external services meet or exceed reliability and performance expectations while adhering to Equifax engineering principles.

What You’ll Do
- Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement
- Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews
- Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health
- Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity
- Practice sustainable incident response and drive incident resolution when necessary.
- Learn about and help maintain our automation tools
- Develop automation for both public cloud and on-premises resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (for example, physics or mathematics), or equivalent work experience required.
- 3-5 years working with public cloud and 1-2 or more years of experience managing software in the public cloud (at least one cloud provider from the list: AWS, GCP (preferred), Azure).
- You have experience managing Infrastructure as code via tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing SCM (GIT, SVN), build (CMake, Make files, Maven), Nexus, CI (Jenkins), CD automation tools).
- Experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, Java, Go, Perl, JavaScript and / or node.js
- Proficiency with (CI / CD) continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and practices and strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Extra Points For Any Of The Following:
- You have expertise designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- You take a system problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
- Systems administration skills, including Linux / Windows automation and orchestration using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt Stack, and / or containers (Helm, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Work in a DevOps environment responsible for building and running fault-tolerant, massively distributed, and large-scale systems.
- You are passionate for automation with a desire to eliminate toil whenever possible
- You’ve built software or maintained systems in a highly secure, regulated or compliant industry
- You thrive in and have experience and passion for working within a DevOps culture and as part of a team
