Environmental Scientist III

Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Scientist to join our Remediation team. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services to our key clients.
The successful candidate will have at a minimum a BS in Environmental Science, with a successful work history of environmental investigation and remediation projects and strong project management skills.
This position will be based in our Clifton, New Jersey office with field responsibilities in New Jersey and the greater New York City region.
Experience with response and environmental investigations and through site clean-up and closure is required. Candidate must also be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors. Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Project and task management.
  • Field-based task oversight of environmental investigation and remediation programs.
  • Data management and report writing.
  • Qualified candidates must be comfortable with periodic travel.
  • Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or other relevant Environmental discipline degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education.
  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience working on site investigation and remediation projects
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
