About the Role
The Principal Engieneering Information Maangement role is required to lead the rollout and continuous improvement of BHP’s Engineering Information Management framework across the Americas. Co-own the global EIM standards, procedures and processes to ensure engineering information is created, handed over, found, maintained and governed in the most effective and efficient manner in BHP.

The main responsabilities of this role are:

Co-develops and maintains BHP’s global engineering information management (EIM) standards, procedures and processes.
Owns our global EIM standards, procedures and processes and the EIM systems to monitor compliance to BHP and Asset EIM standards.
Support Assets to adopt the EIM Framework so that engineering information is managed in the most effective and efficient manner.
Work with key internal and external stakeholders to maintain and continuously improve our EIM standards, data repositories and processes to make it as simple, effective, efficient and sustainable as possible.
Support the activities of the EIM strategy and initiative as required.
About You
Required:

Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, computer science, information management systems or equivalent.
Deep knowledge of engineering information management as part of Operations, Projects and/or Engineering in a heavy industry.
Experience in managing engineering information in the SmartPlant, Aveva or Bentley tools.
High degree of business acumen, with a deep understanding of the operating model and interaction between the processes, systems and people of Projects, Engineering and Operations.

Preferred:

Experience in implementing new engineering, or business, systems and processes across an organisation, including change management.
Capital project and operational experience managing data and information through the lifecycle.
Certification and experience in industry recognized improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and/or Lean.
Engineering design, especially using leading multi-discipline data centric design software.
