Director of Production, Semiconductor Infrastructure Solutions

Manage the Production Operations for Keysight’s Semiconductor Infrastructure Solutions for customers worldwide. Mange and direct the reporting staff of Production Managers, leads, and individuals located in Santa Clara.  The production team consists of operators, technicians, supervisors, and operating managers producing Laser, Electronic, and Optical products. Many of the products are vertically integrated so specialized processes for manufacturing optical components and laser tubes are performed by the team in addition to building the final products.

A close working relation with supporting functions including R&D, supply chain planning, procurement, logistics, and quality is critical.   Together as a team the objective is to deliver quality products on time to our customers.

In addition to the Production responsibilities there is a strong support role to work with R&D to build prototypes, develop processes and tools for fabricating lower level optical and laser components. The OF and R&D teams works closely together to release new products to production.

Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for increasing capacity, reducing costs, outsourcing, equipment investment plans, and transfers.

Manage financials to meet on going improvements with revenue and gross margin targets.

 

Job Qualifications

 

Experience:

  • Must have had a leadership role in laser and/or optics manufacturing operations while managing production managers and manufacturing engineering managers both in the US and overseas locations
  • Managed operations with more than $150M in annual revenue
  • Experience with Class 1000 cleanroom environments
  • Precision assembly methods and factory automation
  • Has a quality first focus for mission critical high value solutions
  • Leadership role in new product introductions which required planning for capacity expansion, ramp planning, and partnership with R&D
  • Has managed laser repair and factory service operations
  • Comfort with direct customer engagement
  • Experience as an OEM provider
  • Acquisition integration experience
  • Product transfer experience to lower cost regions
  • B.S degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering at a minimum
