In your role, you will:
- Support the conceptual design of derivative and clean sheet aircraft with regards to aircraft configuration with a focus on structural integration.
- Perform structural integration activities at the conceptual design level, such as:
- Structural design, and conceptual layouts for various configurations for both existing and new aircraft designs
- Systems installations within the structural models, with the direct application of lessons learned.
- Examples include: Landing Gear integration, Engine integration etc.
- Conceptual sizing and safety assessment
- Trade-off studies
- Lead and/or oversight of assigned strategic technology projects.
- Supervise engineering students’ internships
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate,
- You have more than 10 years of experience in aerospace design; advanced knowledge in aircraft structures and structures integration.
- You have a good understanding of aircraft systems and their interactions within the aircraft structure.
- You have a good understanding of the aircraft development and certification process.
- You are open minded, curious, rigorous and methodical.
- You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork and support knowledge sharing amongst team members.
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You approach problem solving with a holistic view.
- You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to suit the audience
- You have a strong knowledge and experience with CATIA V5.
- Possess a university degree in Engineering
