Reward and Benefits Consultant

Our People and Culture (P&C) team work collaboratively to provide broad ranging expert advice and support services to our most important asset – our people! In the role of Reward and Benefits Consultant, your curiosity, technical knowledge and passion for reward will help service our employees through the management of operational queries and requests and the effective execution of important cyclical annual performance and remuneration review activities. In a role that varies widely in scope, you’ll have the opportunity to both lead different initiatives yourself whilst contributing to broader strategic projects as required.

 

 

The impact you’ll have:

 

Own a number of key cyclical and operational reward, benefit and performance related activities, including but not limited to:

 

end of year performance and remuneration review process,

 

performance planning,

 

benchmarking,

 

job evaluations,

 

Incentive plan management and maintenance,

 

job architecture.

 

Provide quality operational support and advice to employees and managers across the business, using your keen eye for detail and passion for numbers to engage in proactive discussions on a range of issues.

 

Work closely with our Workday team, helping to deliver enhancements, system updates and facilitating testing requirements across relevant modules.

 

Build effective relationships with teammates and the broader Transurban community, working closely with your P&C colleagues to provide collaborative and informative services to all levels of employees.

 

Help us design consistent and more effective business processes that support our day to day activity.

 

Have your finger on the pulse with regards to market trends and industry best practice, identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement.

 

The talents you’ll bring:

 

Experience working in a reward, remuneration and benefits role. You must have completed at least one annual performance and salary review cycle.

 

Demonstrated experience in operational Reward and Benefits practices, such as job evaluations, benchmarking, salary surveys, creating salary ranges, job slotting, modelling annual salary reviews as well as assisting with communications design and delivery. Ideally you’ll be certified in KornFerry Hay Job Evaluations.

 

Demonstrated understanding of remuneration including short and long term incentives.

 

A general understanding of regulatory and tax legislation impacting remuneration and share plans.

 

Ability to empathise and deal sensitively with issues which impact employees and have the ability to consult with and advise stakeholders (including other members of P&C).

 

Able to manage projects, including project planning, communication and risk management. Along with the ability to establish priorities, work to strict timelines, autonomously or as part of a team.

 

Well-developed interpersonal skills and written communication skills.
