What we need:
Mohawk is looking for a Regional Vice President of Sales who can help us win in the market by leading sales and related activities for Workplace and Retail clients in the Northeast region.
This position will develop and implement business plans to ensure sales, service goals and objectives are attained, while keeping abreast of industry trends to monitor our competitive market position.
What you’ll do:
Direct and guide selling activities for the Workplace/Retail team
Accurately forecast teams’ order generation and assess budget and make necessary adjustments through the year to achieve plan
Ensure that the regional, segment, and commercial sales business plan is aligned with corporate strategies and objectives
Ensure that products, pricing, representation, and service are maintained at superior levels
Train and coach staff to educate customers and match customer needs with appropriate products and to ensure that the sales team has the necessary knowledge and resources to meet these needs
Work effectively with internal segments to evaluate effectiveness of current products, services, policies, and campaigns and assist with corrective action if needed
Represent the commercial business unit with industry associations to strengthen its position in the marketplace and to develop strategic selling programs and management practices to exploit business opportunities
Exercise internal authority concerning hiring, performance management reviews, salary decisions, and terminations
What you have:
Four-year college degree in business, marketing or related field and seven or more years of related work experience, or any combination of education and training that provides the knowledge and skills to perform the job
At least five years of sales management experience, preferably in the building products industry
Working knowledge of the marketing and sales environment, including product development, manufacturing and distribution, customer service and accounting
What you’re good at:
Communicating effectively with customers, employees, and high-level staff members in written, oral, and interpersonal communication
Working in CRM, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and using business writing concepts and techniques
Planning, budgeting, and financial management analysis and reporting
What else?
This position requires frequent travel
100% body movement is required to successfully perform this job, including standing, reaching, climbing and possibly lifting and move up to 100 pounds without lifting aids
Vision requirements are comparable to those required to for a driver’s license
