DESCRIPTION:
This position will provide international logistics support to all exporting and importing activities within the Mohawk North America Flooring Group (Mohawk Home, Mohawk Hard Surface, Mohawk Carpet, Mohawk International, Unilin (USA) and IVC Group (USA). This position will be the primary back-up to the Sr. Director of transportation operations regarding business programs. Each business is expanding its’ global footprint and the need to expand the support for each business team. The base salary is in the mid/upper 90,000 range with a 10% bonus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage the day to day transportation of freight via ocean and air to ensure complete customer satisfaction by facilitating timely and accurate communication for all exporting and importing activities within the Mohawk North America Flooring Group (Mohawk Home, Mohawk Hard Surface, Mohawk Carpet, Mohawk International, Unilin (USA) and IVC Group (USA).
· Work with the global logistics representatives to ensure their allocations are met with carriers.
· Assist in supporting product managers on new projects
· Utilize supply chain system to coordinate and track hot replenishment and direct customer containers
· Prepare transportation reports and send notifications immediately of any issues that result in delays
· Coordinate delivery schedules through direct communication with carrier, drayage provider and warehouse.
· Coordinate the ad-hoc international shipments of parts, machinery, promotional items, samples, wool, and other commodities in support of the Mohawk North America Flooring Group.
· Seek competitive spot quotes for air and ocean shipments for special shipping requirements.
· Manage distribution scorecard costs and MQC’s with carriers
· Identifying and supporting cost savings opportunities
· Streamline new processes using new technology for Lognet and Freight payments
· Other transportation functions as needed in support of Mohawk Flooring business units.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or experience equivalent
· Analytical – developing scorecards and financial savy (able to do costs analysis)
· Experience in international logistics operations, working with Asia and Mexico; with minimum 3 years while working in logistics.
· Some project management skills
· Knowledge of air and ocean transportation and cargo handling practices.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

· Strong analytical and reporting skills. Power BI experience.
