We are currently recruiting for a Communications Manager to join our team. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs and is a hybrid work position.

Purpose of Job
- Implement Corporate Affairs strategies through a variety of communications vehicles and activities that engage and influence key internal and external stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and project manage Americas region-wide and site-based internal communications strategy, content and channel management
- Construct strategic plans inclusive of situational analysis, objectives, strategies, tactics, implementation timeline, budget and evaluation
- Draft written content and messaging and integrate it through a broad range of communication media including executive speeches, presentations, stakeholder newsletters, video, intranet and website content, social media and general internal communication content regionally
- Provide internal communications counsel to top leaders on communication matters, including tone, timing, and proper usage of formal and informal communication vehicles to reach different audiences
- Condense complex business concepts, data and information into audience-based communication tools
- Maintain program performance metrics to benchmark progress and success of communication initiatives
- Lead regional brand management and creative services; execute creative campaigns and concepts in alignment with corporate messaging and brand standards
- Lead regional advertising and sponsorship strategy
- Represent the Americas region to Sasol corporate and regional counterparts on internal communications and brand management matters
- Support regional internal change management lead
Formal Education
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field
Working Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate communications
- Chemicals and/or energy industry experience preferred
- Demonstrable experience in writing for executive leadership
- Public relations agency experience highly desired
- Graphic design or creative services management experience preferred

- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment and simultaneously work on multiple projects at the same time
- Business acumen, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Oral and business writing communication skills with ability to speak with clarity and confidence to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to apply creative and strategic thought to addressing business issues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft SharePoint
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications
