Purpose of Job
- Leads TAR Planning and Execution within the Americas
- Develop, retain and attract highly skilled and competent resources within execution function
- Provide effective management and execution TAs to meet all SHE requirements while ensuring competitive, reliable and efficient delivery
- Develop and maintain key practices and approaches to deliver high performance
- Ensure business and operational goals and objectives met based on TA delivery
Key Accountabilities
- Turnaround Management
- Ensure the safe and environmentally compliant delivery of turnarounds within the Americas and be an industry leader in overall performance and management
- Ensure cost and schedule effective delivery of all turnaround activities, with quality assurance to meet safety and reliability requirements
- Accountable for compliance to capital project governance processes and the governance/compliance with engineering and construction standards, as required
- Maintain trust and relationships with TAR stakeholders
- Management of TAR partners
- Build and maintain TAR procedures for each at the LCCC
- Develops talent to serve Technical Services function as well as the talent pipeline for other functions within Sasol, where applicable
Formal Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or 15 years relevant field experience in lieu of a degree
Working Experience
Minimum of 8-10 years of practical engineering and managerial experience
