What we’re looking for:

We are looking for an energetic and proactive Public Sector-focused Networking Sales Specialist to join our Citrix Application Delivery and Security product line team (ADC, SD-WAN, Monitoring) covering the Midlands, Northern UK territory. This is a new business role.

Position Summary:

You are a tenacious self-starter with demonstrable experience in winning net new opportunities within the territory. You should be able to generate new and existing pipeline, handle all Networking portfolio opportunities within an assigned account list, working in collaboration with the Generalist sales team.

Ideally you have industry experience and existing relationships to influence our valuable resellers, distribution, strategic partners and SI’s in the region.

This position offers huge potential for over-achieving against goals and financial targets and being part of an exciting sales team environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Prospects for new business, direct customer engagement, working with Citrix Solutions Advisor (CSA) partners to increase Citrix product knowledge and efficiencies, and whenever possible, influencing ISV and Citrix Strategic Business Alliances (CSBA) relationships to drive sales into end user accounts.
  • Manages both an indirect customer procurement (channel) and direct customer engagement model.
  • Influences and maximizes CSA/CSBA/SI/ISV partners as the fulfilment channel while working with Citrix end user accounts on IT initiatives
  • Responsible for all aspects of the sale from pricing discussions to contract development to ensuring successful order fulfilment once the order has been received and processed by Citrix.
  • Manages weekly forecasts against revenue targets and works closely with the demand generation team to manage the pipeline and set appropriate monthly and quarterly revenue expectations using Citrix-defined CRM and forecasting tools (SFDC).
  • Partners with sales and service organizations and IT business executives within corporate environments
  • Able to position and sell Citrix Networking against competitive products
  • Well versed in setting appropriate monthly and quarterly revenue expectation using Citrix defined CRM and forecasting tools with demonstrated competency

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):

  • The ideal candidate will come from a related industry background with new business skills and experience from working in a territory type role.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcoming objections, return on investment analysis, closing the sale through appropriate procurement vehicle (shrink wrap, licensing, etc.)
  • Apply an understanding of Citrix products is desirable
  • Experience in strategic and value selling in dealing with five or six figure transactions
  • Knowledge of complementary hardware and software solutions
  • Ability to motivate, enable, train and conduct seminars to drive mind share within Channel partners to increase Citrix revenues within assigned territory
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic and follow through ability
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory and other locations including Corporate HQ

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Relevant years’ experience in a high-tech or IT environment.
  • 2-5 years prior territory sales experience in a high tech environment in an indirect sales and procurement environment with a demonstrated track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory and other locations including Corporate headquarters
