Job Description
The Senior Manager, Federal Contract Administration in Cerner Government Services will be responsible for overseeing and providing guidance on contract modifications and/or amendments to large, complex, or broad scope contracts requiring integration with third parties. In this role you will be analyzing and reviewing contracts for risk and compliance with internal policies and procedures and federal contracting policies, laws and regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other agency-specific regulations. You will also advise stakeholders of contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretations of terms and conditions. Additional responsibilities will include assigning resources and overseeing on-time execution of federal contracting tasks and developing and implement contracting and negotiation strategies to achieve business objectives while identifying risk and implementing mitigation strategies.
You will set and communicate team goals that support and advance organizational imperatives and establish metrics or other performance measures to track progress. You will also propose and lead team-level and cross-organizational quality and process improvement initiatives. This role will allow you to lead, direct and review the team’s work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with significant contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team, department and organization. In scope will be to identify, propose and lead team- and department-level quality and process improvement initiatives; lead or influence strategic initiatives at the department-level and provide input on strategic initiatives for the organization. Finally, you will own decision-making for staffing and performance decisions for direct reports as well as manage one or more teams of associates.
