CASH APPLICATION COORDINATOR
Our team in Reading currently has an opening for a Cash Application Coordinator
The Cash Application Coordinator is responsible for applying payments received from customers by various methods (lockbox, ACH, wire, etc.) to customer accounts/invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply payments to customer accounts via ERP.
- Work with Credit and Customer Service to identify and resolve billing/payment issues.
- Maintain and protect sensitive financial and transaction information.
- Communicate discrepancies in payments, short pays, or unidentified payments to Credit.
- Maintain daily cash receipt log to reconcile with credit card and bank deposits.
- Work closely with credit and collections by processing and reviewing account adjustments.
- Assist with month-end close and audits.
IDEAL PROFILE
Other Functions/Responsibilities:
- Research and resolve short pays or other issues.
- Effectively document and update customer notes.
- Participate in and learn required lockbox procedures and portal management tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Required Skills/Abilities:
- Self-motivated and task oriented
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree in Accounting a plus
Experience:
- 1+ years of cash application experience
- High proficiency with Excel
Essential Functions:
