ACCOUNT MANAGER MATERIAL SCIENCES
Our team in Santa Fe Springs currently has an opening for a Account Manager Material Sciences
The Account Manager is responsible for supporting sales activities within an assigned industry and territory by performing or coordinating with appropriate resources or management. The Account Manager is also responsible for the financial success of an assigned industry and territory.
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and develop accounts with priority of the top 20%
- Grow new and maintains existing accounts within industry and territory
- Prospect for new customers
- Develop technical expertise relative to strategic products and product lines
- Establish plans for the retention, and subsequent growth, of customers directed to Brenntag Specialties from turnover programs with principals
- Assist in the identification of new products or product lines to strengthen the existing product offerings to a defined category of customers throughout the geography (“selling the full portfolio”)
- Understand and utilizes CRM
- Enter data into the CRM which includes, but is not limited to, market intelligence, competitor intelligence, sampling practices, call summaries, variance reports, growth pipeline, etc.
- Achieve sales levels set forth by company to meet annual targets
- Achieve gross profit levels set forth to assure territory growth on an annual basis
- Develop and maintains good working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Conduct market research
- Maintain presence with various industrial societies
YOUR PROFILE
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred
Experience:
- Five years of sales experience
Skills:
- Strong team player, with high work ethic, eager to contribute
- Results driven with strong business acumen, strategically minded
- Strong relationship, commercial and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Works independently, self-motivated
- Sales and Profit Analysis
- Effective time & resource management, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Computer – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM, Outlook, AS400
- Travel Expectations 25-30%
