Overview of the Role
The cost accountant will be responsible for the preparation and processing of accounting information and act as support for the cost accounting team specifically with respect to plant operations. The accountant will analyze and interpret accounting information.
How you will make contributions that matter:
Prepare monthly financial statements, analysis and reports on costs;
Act as a contact person for all assigned plant, guide and coach administrative personnel with respect to accounting activities;
Collaborate with all assigned facilities for the preparation of annual budgets;
Identify trends in the cost of milk and all ingredients related to manufacturing;
Prepare financial and production statistics;
Perform other related ad-hoc duties as assigned.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
University degree in accounting, CPA title is required;
Have a minimum of five (5) years of management accounting experience in the manufacturing sector;
Bilingualism (French and English) spoken and written is essential;
Availability to travel occasionally to Canadian plants;
Very good proficiency in Excel;
Knowledge of BI, Maestro and SAP (asset);
Good sense of organization and planning;
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
