Agile Demand Manager

The Engineering Factory delivers change across a set of strategic business and consumer facing technology and integration platforms. Services span front end engineering, Digital technologies and integration with legacy platforms for our Consumer, Corporate and internal Digital Channels at Bank of Ireland. The Factory has fully embraced NEW IT and ways of working such as scaled agile, DevOps and design thinking in a highly collaborative team environment.

You will be responsible for understanding and collating business demand for Factory technology services, ensuring the engagement model is effective and coordinating the Factory response to the demand through sizing estimates and capacity management across development squads.

This job can be done anywhere in ROI with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manages and updates the tools and portal used to estimate technical work packages
  • Coordinates the team (Architecture, Development, Test, Infrastructure) to generate estimates
  • Review estimates produced by Scrum Masters or delivery leads
  • Updates POD and reviews estimates with Business Stakeholders and Programme leadership

Essential Qualifications

  • Agile Project Management qualification
  • Bachelor\\\\\\\’s Degree in appropriate field

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Project Management experience within an Agile delivery model
  • Progressive experience in performance management or portfolio management
  • Superb skills using the suite of Microsoft Office products
  • Proactive and flexible approach; ability to work effectively with multiple priorities in parallel
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with strong customer focus
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
  • Continuous Improvement attitude with ability to improve existing analysis and processes
  • Deep analytical and problem-solving skills
