In this role, you will use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems and developing recommendations which support supply chain planning. Responsible for procurement systems administration support including documentation, user training, upgrade coordination, testing, assisting with procurement reporting, data modeling and analytics
Essential Functions
- Gathers and interprets relevant data on costs, productivity, demand patterns and other related metrics.
- Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions.
- Develops periodic performance reports and distributes to stakeholders.
- Provides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities and proposals.
- Develops ad hoc and regular procurement related reports and analysis for Business Partners, stakeholders, peers and management.
- Responsible for procurement systems administration support: documentation, user training, upgrade coordination, testing, validation of changes.
- Serves as a resource regarding the use of data extraction tools, including ERP system.
- Develops and documents technical specs test plans, implementation plans for procurement systems upgrades.
- Collaborates with IT to enhance reporting in data warehouse.
- Oversees insurance (COI) process with EBIX. Coordinates insurance compliance reporting and EBIX process.
- Produces and distributes pre-determined reporting: SRM scorecards, Procurement metrics scorecards, savings, spend, expired contracts and compliance reports.
- Builds strong working relationships within Procurement and across Business Units.
Qualifications
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills to include strong knowledge and expertise with performance reporting, financial analysis, data interpretation skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide data cleansing, testing, validations of raw data and reports
- Understanding of business, financial principles
- Understanding of purchasing and inventory systems
- Requires skill at presenting analytical and qualitative information to different organizational levels.
- Problem solving, decision making, and influencing skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Demonstrated effective communication, presentation, interpersonal skills; Project management skills
- Strong time management skills – ability to prioritize against time sensitive deadlines
- Proficient level ability using PC desktop applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Access)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree is required, a concentration in data analytics, Business management is preferred
- MBA preferred
Experience
- Three (3) plus years of related experience
- Programming experience preferred
- Procurement experience is desirable
Licenses & Certifications
- Six Sigma, Lean, Process or Project Management certifications desirable
