The Role

Reporting to the Coles Pricing Manager, the Pricing Analyst is responsible for assisting the team to deliver best in class pricing capability for the Coles pricing. The role will involve building and implementing statistical pricing models, monitoring pricing performance, and sharing analytical insights with the broader business.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Assist with pricing review and price change analysis

Work collaboratively with other Partners & Platforms teams and internal IAG teams to share analytical insights leveraging on various data sources

Build statistical claims models for the Coles portfolio with a range of machine learning techniques

Implement and monitor the model performance and recommend model improvement with emerging experience

Identify and recommend opportunities of pricing improvement that support the portfolio strategy

Improve the pricing review process by assisting with automating analytical reports

Ensuring pricing models and processes adhere to IAG pricing principles and risk standards

 

 

Skills & Experience

 

Strong analytical skills

Advanced knowledge with R, SAS, SQL or equivalent

Experience with pricing techniques and models such as GLM and GBM

Experience of Microsoft applications including Excel

Tertiary qualification in a numerical or analytical discipline i.e., Finance, Mathematics or Statistics or Actuarial related field with demonstrated insurance pricing experience (essential)

Ability to develop strong working relationships with people across IAG

Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and have exceptional flexibility of approach, being able to stay focused when directions change without notice
