The Application Development Supervisor leads a team of software developers and business system analyst with experience in Java and SQL that focus on providing services to our corporate Supply Chain team. This position is based at our corporate office in Springfield, Missouri and would require relocation. Essential Job Functions
- Lead, develop, coach and mentor a team of developers and analysts including performance management, goal setting, hiring, evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Identify team member development and training needs and ensure training needs are met.
- Ensures team member compliance with company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, Data Integrity, Software Development Methodology, and Project Tracking.
- Oversees the project implementation of strategically complex and enterprise-wide application solutions.
- Provides leadership in software development life cycle management (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) to ensure delivery is on time and within budget.
- Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures.
- Builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders to set project priorities and influence project scope and timelines.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to motivate and manage a diverse population group across different departments and locations.
- Six years software development experience.
- Experience managing project timelines and deliverables.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
- Strong Project Management skills with the ability to set targets, design improvement plans, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver concurrent projects in highly dynamic environments.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving and conflict management skills.
- Analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate a positive customer service orientation with both internal and external customers.
Desired:
- Two plus years of supervisor experience leading a software development team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or similar related degrees.
- Development experience with Javasript, Spring, VUE and web services.
- Experience with Blue Yonder’s Space Planning, Floor Planning, Assortment Optimization and Channel Clustering applications.
- Experience with Data Science.
- Exposure to Agile, CMMI, ITIL a plus.
