Apprentice Composite Material Engineer Design Office M / F

The apprentice’s mission will be to produce a reference document on the scope of the composite support activity and in particular on repairs.
Two aspects will need to be assessed:
Aircraft in production (through an audit of the MRB activity)
Aircraft in service (through the use of typical repairs provided to DSC by the BE / BZ)
Composite MRB activity:
=> Identify the different families of defects / material pairs (impact, bp of poly, porosities, delaminations, geometric deviations, etc.)
=> Identify typical “grandfather’s law” repairs
=> Identify the main analogies of the treatment of defects
=> Configure the scope of application of repairs using criteria
=> Validate these repairability criteria with composite specialists and the design office
=> Establish a repair catalog (main subject of the defense)
=> Establish the list of tests that would be necessary to expand the criteria

Aircraft activity in service:
=> Same approach but on the basis of files processed by the Mérignac repair facility concerning the composite

Part of the training will be reserved for the validation of criteria with composite sizing specialists and materials specialists.

Travel to the St Cloud and Mérignac establishments to meet various business contacts (Calculation office, business specialists) are to be expected.

Graduated from a bac + 2 or bac + 3, you begin a work-study training leading you to obtain a Master 1 and Master 2.
– You have knowledge of the resistance of materials;
– you have knowledge of English for reading technical documents;
– you have the ability to seek information by weaving a network of relationships;
– you know how to collect information in a meeting in order to be able to analyze it;
– you know how to synthesize a subject after analysis;
– you have notions of design in composite parts and their implementation;
– you have good interpersonal skills and you like working in human-sized teams;
– you know how to edit didactic summary documents intended for all audiences.
