Objective: Drive DevOps best practice landing within IT Data team
Job Description:
You are a hands-on DevOps engineer who will lead the way for IT Data Team DevOps. Our data applications are now build on CDH and will move to PaaS. The ideal engineer will bring his/her experiences, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help drive DevOps initiatives. To be successful, one must effectively communicate with multiple development streams within data team to orchestrate the creation/landing of solutions that can scale:
– Build and test code continuously with scripting and programming languages
– Manage, track and document changes to code with source control tools
– Deploy applications via automation with configuration management tools
– Measure performance and environment of application with system & application log tools
Experience / Skills:
Scripting languages, at least 3:
– Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Ruby, Go
Programming Languages:
– Scala, NodeJS
Version control, containerizing & CI/CD Implementation:
– GitHUB, Docker, Kubernetes, Nginx, Jenkins
Databases, at least 2:
– MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB
NoSQL, at least 2:
– ElasticSearch, Kafka, MongoDB, Redis
PaaS Platform Services, 1 of following
– Azure, AWS, Ali
Networking concepts:
– Firewalls, NAT, Port, Subnetting, VPC, VPNs
