Job Summary

The Assistant Manager Channel Marketing will work closely with the Manager Channel Marketing to commercialize sales and marketing programs across all Channels of distribution, identifying and executing Channel-specific business growth opportunities, with a specific focus on the gift channel for the Italian and UK markets. Scope of responsibilities include the integration of the Channel profile into trade marketing strategies/sales plans and establishment of Channel priorities across Customers and sales teams.

In order to accomplish this, the Assistant Manager Channel Marketing will work cross functionally to deliver sales and profits through commercialization of Brand/Trade strategies and plans across the Customers/Channel focusing on a 9 month rolling plan. This position works closely with sales teams to optimize Joint Business Planning (JBP’s) and Line Reviews on behalf of Newell Brands.

Job Duties

Channel Strategy
Deploys Channel priorities across Customers and sales teams
Collects data intelligence to develop Channel profile

Business Plan Execution (Channel & Customer)
Deploys trade commercialization plans by Customer/Channel in alignment with strategy
Monitors effectiveness of sales plans by Channel
Assists with deployment of Channel focused best practices with sales teams

JPB’s, Line Reviews
Assists Customer Development to prepare for Joint Business Planning (JBP’s) and Line Reviews as needed
Collects and reports Channel business data (market, shopper, and end-user) to internal and external stakeholders

Pricing and Trade Fund Guidance
Provides Channel and Regional perspective on pricing guidance
Collects and analyzes Channel and Regional promotion and pricing activity to ensure alignment
Supports implementation of pricing actions as needed

In Store Activation
Assists with Brand Activation team regarding objectives, activity plans and priorities

Perfect Launch
Assists new product launch and merchandising activities for Channel/Region
Deploys launch activation tactics in Channel/Region

Additional Responsibilities
Supports optimization of product mix recommendations at Customer level

Qualifications

Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (emphasis in business/marketing or related field),
Demonstrated knowledge of channel marketing, marketing, or general business management. Knowledge of the UK Gift Channel will be considered a strong asset to cover the role successfully
Experience in cross markets marketing.
English/Italian native speaker and/or demonstrated experience of UK and Italian markets
Analytical skills and computer software proficiency (e.g. Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
Must be able to travel 10-20% of the time.
