Position Title: Junior National Account Manager
Location: UK Nationwide – based Cheadle, Greater Manchester
Reports to: National Account Controller
This position is based in the Cheadle office, supporting the National Account Controller and other National Account Managers on a portfolio of key accounts, handling account management responsibility for smaller customer accounts.
Job Responsibilities:

Assisting the National Account Controller/Managers in management of the customer and category day to day operations while delivering sales and profitability targets for the account base, including maximizing the availability of our products.

Direct account management responsibility for a smaller account/s.

Day to day management of the promotional calendar: evaluation and course correction, leading the process for managing trade spends and pricing in conjunction with the management of the promotional calendar.

Work with demand planning to develop accurate sales forecasts and achieve specified levels of forecast accuracy.

Build customer relationships at the Merchandise/ Assistant Buyer/Buyer level and facilitate connectivity in other functional areas including Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance, doing the same across internal Newell functions to enhance information sharing and decision making.

Provide analytical and presentation support for National Account Managers including working with market data to support commercial proposals

Support National Account Managers to maximize market share and sales and profits through price optimization for Newell Brands and our customers.

Instore compliance and competitor evaluation through store visits
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Circa up to 3 years experience in commercially focused role, assisting account management roles

Sales / Buying experience an advantage

Good influencing and persuasive ability

Understanding of negotiation techniques

Strong project management skills, including influencing without authority and working in cross function teams

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and exceptional drive for results.

Ability to thrive in a frequently changing environment, managing high levels of pressure

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex data in an organized manner

Advanced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
