The Assistant Treasurer will work closely with key finance personnel for all domestic and international businesses to manage the organization’s liquidity, financial risks, banking relationships, capital structure and insurance program. They will be the point of contact for our businesses units as well as assist tax and law departments on transactions and banking related initiatives.

Additionally, the Assistant Treasurer will partner with other leaders to support company initiatives that require cross functional collaboration. Of critical importance will be this leader’s ability to establish credible working relationships with the company’s leadership team, business leaders throughout the company, internal auditors and external partners.

The prospective candidate will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing treasury management responsibility and will be exceptional at developing, managing and leading directly or indirectly the full complement of financial, operational and administrative responsibilities of the treasury organization. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a reputation for financial acumen, strategic thinking, business judgment, quantitative analysis ability and leadership/interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

    • Directs and controls all activities and systems involving management of cash, debt and liquidity resources.
    • Lead and develop the global treasury team (3 associates – 2 domestic, 1 international).
    • Strong executive presence to work directly with senior leadership team and external partners.
    • Help optimize capital structure, capital allocations and manage cash forecasting process
    • Oversees corporate cash management and credit administration, maintaining external communication with pertinent financial institutions.
    • Custodian for debt instruments at the company and manages relationships with lenders as well as rating agencies
    • Responsible for enterprise wide insurance program portfolio and managing relationship with insurance providers and brokers
    • Manages cash and investment portfolio and adheres to investment policy
    • Manages foreign currency hedging, interest rate and risk management across various countries
    • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
    • Familiarity with maintaining SOX compliance and controls
    • Manage corporate cards, ACH debits, merchant credit card and lockbox
    • Manage international credit lines, letters of credit and corporate guarantees.

 

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
    • CTP designation preferred
    • Five plus years of Corporate Treasury experience
    • Experience leading, coaching and developing staff

 

Required Skills, Knowledge & Competencies

    • Knowledge of treasury concepts, funding, cash management and foreign exchange
    • General knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements for treasury related financial information
    • Strong relationship manager with good influencing skills to develop and maintain effective internal and external customer needs
    • Advanced analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to prioritize work and keep focused on key deliverables when unexpected challenges arise
    • Demonstrated strong project management skills.
    • Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team to deliver to tight deadlines
    • Interested in process improvement.
    • Willing to adapt quickly to changes in direction.
    • Self- starter who can make decisions within agreed scope of responsibility but also seeks advice and support when needed
    • Experience in presenting and preparing proposals to recommend new products/services
    • Knowledge and experience with online banking software
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office software to a competent standard
