What is the opportunity?

Private Side role to support the senior RSG client coverage effort on Rates, FX and Commodities. In this role you will also provide secondary and selected co-coverage to RBC European Corporate clients on derivatives

What will you do?

  • Provide client coverage and innovative solutions support to RBC’s client base – predominantly targeting corporates
  • Incorporate derivative products with GIB related transactions
  • Structure and price derivative products
  • Provide support required for senior members of the group
  • Assume daily pricing, modelling and presentation generation responsibilities
  • Ensuring that marketing proposals are suitable for the customer.
  • Represent RBC in an appropriate manner at all times
  • Ownership of life cycle of transactions that are placed on the derivatives book and actively manage old exposures as well as generating new exposures
  • Responsible management of capital, credit and funding issues inherent in the structuring and execution of derivatives
  • Work to prevent, to detect, and to eliminate potential for risk and liability to the firm
  • Have a strong proactive relationship with DCM Syndicate and DCM Origination
  • Ensure good coordination with other areas of Capital Markets including DCM, FX Trading, Rates Trading, (swap and cash), Research, Resource Management Group, FICC Sales, GIB and ensure that your own marketing efforts compliment that of other areas.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

  • Educated to a degree level
  • Numerically and analytically strong
  • Minimum 2 years of experience on client coverage
  • Minimum 2 years of experience on derivatives
  • Strong knowledge of derivatives products and financial markets
