Associate Team Lead – Treasury

This is a newly created role based in our Mohali office which is our Global Shared Service Center reporting to Senior Manager Treasury. He / she is responsible for performing foreign exchange (FX) transactional activities supporting Treasury operations, which services the Asia Pacific / Europe / US operations for Bunge Group. In addition, the Executive is also responsible for supporting Officers in transaction processing & issue resolution as well as other treasury operational tasks and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

•             Monitor all FX requests received from internal counterparties

•             Perform sanity check on all incoming deals and route to relevant people if needed

•             Analyze remaining FX deals for potential netting before sending to FXall

•             Manage and monitor process of uploading deals from SAP to FXall.

•             For deals within their thresholds, taking hedging actions in full compliance with the agreed procedures stated hereby. For other deals, involve Regional FX dealers and monitor execution is done.

•             Manage and monitor process of downloading executed FX deals from FXall to SAP.

•             Overall process monitoring and making sure:

a.            all executed FX deals are recorded in SAP

b.            no FX deals are left unhedged

c.             no FX positions are created

Additional responsibilities:

•             Resolve queries within defined timelines

•             Support Officers in performing other treasury operational tasks and reporting

•             Identify ideas for process improvement utilizing industry leading practices

•             Handle exceptions generated, perform root cause analysis to resolve current issues and act proactively to avert potential issues in future

•             Provide all information, documents, and reports for audit. Post the audit; take steps as per corrective action plan drafted by the Team Leader.

•             File and archive relevant documents

Knowledge and Experience

Function requirements

•             Minimum of 2-5 years relevant working experience in a finance role including some FX element (treasury, treasury control, middle office, etc.)

•             Basic understanding of the financial markets

•             Good understanding of FX products (forwards, swaps, NDFs, etc.)

•             Working experience with electronic trading platforms (and to a lesser extent Bloomberg) is a prerequisite

•             Working knowledge of SAP

•             Proactive, self-starter but also a team player

•             Excellent communication and customer focus skills

•             (Electronic) process minded

•             Strong analytical skills would allow for some additional (reporting) activities

Distinct Advantage

•             Experience working in a similar Shared Services Centre setup

•             Experience in processing of high volumes of transactions

•             Experience in SAP, workflow tools and document imaging systems

•             Willing to work in different shift timings including US shifts

There are 2 open positions: for US & Europe operations & the mandate will have to work in US / EU shifts – rotational shift.
