Automation & Controls Technician

Asahi Beverages is a leading Australian beverages business with a strong portfolio of brands across soft drinks, juices, waters, sports drinks, energy drinks, beers, spirits, ciders and ready-to-drink mixed drinks.

We are looking for an Automation & Controls Technician to join our manufacturing site in Huntingwood.

You will ensure that reliability requirements and maintenance KPI’s are met and assets under your care are safe and reliable that deliver best in class machinery availability, and cost ownership for plant and equipment.

The hours of this position is 2:00pm-10:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Identification and systematic releasing of process bottlenecks which limit overall plant capacity
• Routine maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation, PLC units and SCADA systems.
• Creation of schedules according to FMEA
• Improvement of equipment and maintenance systems
• Assist with Breakdown Investigations (BIRs) as required.
• Liaise with production, as required, for electrical maintenance activity on Asset Care days (pre/post maintenance meetings)
• Ensure electrical work orders are captured

About you

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications
• Experience in maintenance / reliability environment
• Lean & HACCP manufacturing experience within another FMCG business
• Good hands-on experience and knowledge of fast paced production lines & utilities equipment
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, initiative and ability to work autonomously
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
