JOB OVERVIEW
Responsible for supporting Darden’s retirement programs; utilizing reporting tools to develop a quarterly dashboard, which tracks retirement costs, statistics and participation metrics. Ensures regulatory deadlines are met and guidelines are adhered to. The Retirement Analyst will work closely with Audit, accounting, payroll teams, ERISA counsel and retirement plan providers to ensure items, such as compliance, nondiscrimination testing, plan data, plan contributions and distributions are being handled correctly and timely.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Supports Darden team members and other internal colleagues by assisting with escalated issues; develops solutions and recommends appropriate actions
– Project manages the annual plan audits and other audit related activities
– Performs monthly reconciliations for retiree medical plan
– Performs the quarterly calculation of the retirement plan’s non elective contributions
– Performs the annual non-qualified plan’s contribution
– Coordinates and reviews annual nondiscrimination testing, as well as mid-year tests
– Tracks annual company contributions; including projections for qualified and non-qualified retirement plans
– Monitors plan reporting and participation metrics. Reports results via quarterly dashboard
– Coordinates with plan actuary to provide needed data and for the annual plan valuation for retiree medical plan
– Reviews vendor SOC1 / SSAE18 reporting and works with plan vendors and auditors as needed
– Works with external vendors to develop a retirement plan communication strategy and project manages delivery
– Collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure plan information on employee intranet is up to date.
– Coordinates necessary regulatory plan filings for DOL, IRS, etc. (such as Form 5500)
– Collaborates with internal partners (in accounting, treasury, audit, etc.) and plan providers to oversee compliance (internal and external) and identify and implement control updates and process improvements
– Completes annual benefit surveys
– Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
– Minimum 4+ years benefits experience with a retirement focus
– Minimum of 1-2 years Project management experience
– Retirement Plan certification (CRP, CEBS, RPA, etc.) preferred

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
– Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
– Willingness to gain retirement and benefits expertise through retirement certification course work and independent learning.

OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
– Knowledgeable of the compliance requirements of qualified and non-qualified retirement programs
– Ability to successfully interpret all retirement and benefits plan documents
– Excellent project management skills, detail oriented and highly organized
– Expert ability to work in a fast paced work environment while managing multiple and competing priorities
– Advanced MS Excel, MS Word and Power Point skills
– Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent presentation skills
– Strong interpersonal skills

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
– Familiarity with PeopleSoft a plus
