BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, PHARMA

Our team in Reading currently has an opening for a Business Development Manager, Pharma

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement market plans/projects to increase sales and market share in accordance to company goals and objectives.
  • Secure additional vendors and/or products which offer profitable opportunities.
  • Identify profitable opportunities within new industries.
  • Develop, maintain, and review market information relative to products, customers, and industry trends both domestic and international.
  • Obtain, develop, and analyze competitive information to determine strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Pricing and margin management including CUPS support pricing, establishing margin policy.
  • Work with sellers, vendors, and other personnel to manage the opportunity pipeline.
  • Coordinate marketing communication activities, such as website development, collateral production, trade show coordination, UL Prospector, etc.
  • Maintain and monitor UL Prospector and work closely with cross-functional teams to define promotions, focus products, and lead management.
  • Provide product training and industry information to the sales team.

Other Functions/Responsibilities:
1) Furnish appropriate reports to management and vendors.
2) Understand and utilize Salesforce and Qlik.

  • a. Develop and run reports and/or dashboards
  • b. Document vendor meetings

3) Other duties as assigned

Additional Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to rationalize data and provide practical recommendations
  • Comprehensive personal care technical product knowledge
  • Ability to retrieve and organize facts to make quick decisions when necessary (i.e. plan shutdowns)
  • Solid financial and business acumen
  • Ability to effectively communicate to a variety of audiences
  • Advanced Excel skills

YOUR PROFILE

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of business development and/or commercial experience required
  • Pharma technical ingredient knowledge required
  • 5+ years of business development and Pharma experience required

Essential Functions:
