Currently seeking a Manager of Business Development reporting to the Sr. Manager of Business Development who will be responsible for supporting and identifying new revenue generating opportunities for SEA. This role will be responsible and accountable for responding to shifting business needs and priorities in systematic and effective ways. This role will be responsible to understand both historical and forecasted market insights and consumer behaviors to make sound business recommendations to the Regional Sales Directors and Sr. Market Managers. The BDM needs to be well versed in implementation of operational assessments and conducting functional requirements analysis of markets across the country. Quantitative expert with exceptional speed in analysis (providing comprehensive syntheses).
Role and Responsibilities
Background/Experience
8-10 years in business development and/or sales strategies roles
Excellent Financial acumen to understand impact of programs to long-term revenue growth
Experience working with National Retailers and/or National Carrier Operators preferred
Extensive experience communicating cross-functionally, domestically, and up & down an organization both internally as well as with external customers/clients
Excellent data and analytical capabilities to translate and synthesize market data to support the development of long-term and mid-term sales strategies.
Self-starter and willingness to take initiative and drive relevant revenue growth strategies across competing and at times challenging customers
Experience collaborating with and influencing senior leaders across large matrixed organizations
Bachelor’s degree required, advance degree preferred
Skills and Qualifications
Through a data approach synthesize, develop, and lead new strategic sales programs to drive revenue growth in critical markets both in B2C and B2B environments
Strength in building business/National dashboards to conduct trend analysis on retail metrics, especially relating to driving sales revenue, optimizing field programs, and delivering against KPI’s
Ability to translate and effectively communicate detailed and expansive data reporting to executive level business results & develop strategic revenue growth programs
Ability to adjust and pivot in a dynamic environment and demonstrate mental and business agility
Accountable for providing insight to support the work of defining, and outlining new programs from reviewing complex financial trends both on a National and localized scale
Navigation of a highly matrixed organization and ability to influence at all levels
Unimpeachable integrity, viewed by C-level executives as utterly trustworthy
Demonstrate strong leadership and influencing skills with senior level leaders and teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Sophistication in communications, interpersonal relations and diplomacy.
Relationship management across all levels of an organization
Superior judgment, presentation skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure required
Ability to work across organizational boundaries to build alignment and drive closure on issues
Comfort with ambiguity, able to navigate through uncertain situations and drive for clarity
Experience handling time-sensitive and confidential business information/challenges
Travel 50%-70% required
